Synopsis for the Film

The region along the border of Orissa and Chhattisgarh is referred to as ‘the bowl of rice’. A fertile land whose abundant yield fills the stomachs of the nation has now fallen victim to greed and official incompetency.
Rising industrial pollution and the construction of huge dams have not only violated basin ecology but altered the original flow of the rivers leading to inter-state conflicts and the violation of riparian rights.
Even as the common man suffers, the officials choose to tag the issue as a ‘natural phenomenon’ thus refusing to take on any kind of accountability.
Director Tejendra Tamrakar documents a looming disaster and stresses on the urgency of awareness and debate.
